I Light the Candle of
Faith
For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20
Disciple: Peter
Month: January
Color: Royal Blue
Location: Pineal Gland (center of brain)
Our minds practice faith as we trust in God’s perfect plan.
Faith is the power to “clothe” the images of the mind with spiritual substance.
It is quickened by belief.
Faith is the ability to say “yes” to let good manifest in our lives.
Our lives will be filled with peace and happiness as we put God first in all things.
God’s will for us is good, and we let go and let God guide us to our highest good.
With faith, we start a new life, we make new decisions, and we establish new goals.
We step out and do the things that we need to do.
Faith is the expectation of miracles as we abide by God’s perfect laws.
WITH GRATITUDE, I STAND FIRM IN MY FAITH IN GOD AND IN GOD’S GOODNESS FOR ME.
I AM FAITH!
I Light the Candle of
Love
Beloved, let us love one another. 1 John 4:7
Disciple: John
Month: February
Color: Pink
Location: Heart
Love is the attracting, harmonizing power that unifies all life.
Love removes all fear and binds us to God and to others in harmony.
It is the glue of the universe, the magnetic, attracting power that connects all things together in a universal unity.
Love is the power that awakens our spiritual nature; the awareness of the Christ within.
Love is that ability to know and feel oneness with all creation.
We feel the power of divine love within as we recognize our own worth and power.
We treat ourselves with love and gentleness, as we nurture the Christ within.
Each of us is truly a temple of the living God, a radiating center of God’s love.
WITH GRATITUDE, I EXPRESS THE LOVE OF THE CHRIST WITHIN ME.
I AM LOVE!
I Light the Candle of
Strength
God is the strength of my heart. Psalm 73:26
Disciple: Andrew
Month: March
Color: Light Green
Location: Small of the back
Strength is the capacity for sustaining our conviction of God everywhere present, in spite of appearances.
Strength is an eternally enduring quality of being that comes from the light within.
It is the stabilizer…that part of us that endures and keeps us on our spiritual path.
Strength follows through and makes sure actions are completed.
We feel the strength of Spirit within us, and we rejoice.
We stand firm for all that is good and true because God is our source at all times.
Though circumstances around us may cause our mind to worry, our resolve to waiver and our world to tremble, we feel safe.
We are secure in our haven of peace—God within us, the strength of our hearts.
We am strong because God within sustains and supports us.
We are centered in the power and presence of God and each day we grow stronger.
I GIVE THANKS, KNOWING NOTHING CAN DISBURB ME OR CAUSE ME TO WAVER AS I KEEP MYSELF IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.
I AM STRENGTH!
I Light the Candle of
Judgment (Wisdom and Discernment)
Teach me wisdom in my secret heart. Psalm 51:6
Disciple: James son of Zebedee
Month: April
Color: Yellow
Location: Solar plexus
Wisdom is an inner knowing of the truth and right relationship of all things.
It weighs and measures facts and selects the best alternative to fit the situation.
It is the power to evaluate, to determine what decisions best reflect our true God-self.
With God’s guidance, we can distinguish what is good and true in each situation.
With the gift of wisdom comes spiritual insight.
As we become more attuned to this insight, we discern when we should speak and when we should remain silent.
We are guided to the right action in every situation we encounter.
We use our inner wisdom to guide all we think, feel, say and do.
Today we look to God for the gift of discernment.
I GRATEFULLY USE MY GIFT OF DISCERNMENT TO KNOW WHAT IS MINE TO DO.
I AM WISDOM!
I Light the Candle of
Power
May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power. Colossians 1:11
Disciple: Philip
Month: May
Color: Purple
Location: Root of tongue, the larynx
As children of God, we are united with the Divine source of unlimited power.
Each day as we turn to God, we more fully awaken to the infinite source of power within.
Power is the ability to act, do and accomplish good.
We use power to fulfill our deepest dreams and live a life without limitation.
Power converts our thoughts and feelings into living facts.
It transfers our energy from thinking to action using the spoken word.
With this God-given power, we can accomplish great things.
As we give expression to this power, we positively affect our lives and the lives of those around us.
By channeling this divine power into loving and compassionate action, we inspire and uplift the world.
We use our power to speak the truth.
WITH GRATITUDE, I AM OPEN TO THE FULL EXPRESSION OF GOD’S POWER WITHIN ME.
I AM POWER!
I Light the Candle of
Imagination
In Him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible. Colossians 1:16
Disciple: Bartholomew
Month: June
Color: Light Blue
Location: Between the eyes
Imagination is the ability to visualize and give shape and form to outer experiences.
Our imagination creates pictures out of ideas and has the power to shape and form substance.
When we use our imagination wisely, we are able to see good where no apparent good may be visible.
We form images of ourselves doing things we have longed to do. Things we thought might be difficult or even impossible.
We imagine ourselves to be the person we want to be.
We see possibilities of good everywhere we look.
When we face a challenge, we look for and expect a blessing for ourselves and others.
We imagine the world as a place of abundance, wholeness and peace.
With our imagination we create good in our lives.
WITH GRATITUDE, I USE THE POWER OF IMAGINATION TO LIVE AN ABUNDANT LIFE.
I AM IMAGINATION!
I Light the Candle of
Understanding
The Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, ‘Ask what I should give you.’ And Solomon said, ‘…Give your servant therefore an understanding mind.’ 1 Kings 3:5-6, 9
Disciple: Thomas
Month: July
Color: Gold
Location: Front of the brain
Understanding is the inner perceiving and recognition of truth.
Understanding tunes into the Spirit of God within and knows the right thing to do.
It is the ability to know that good is beneath everything, no matter how it looks in the outer.
With understanding, we know beyond reason.
We see beyond doubt or fear to the good in every situation, always knowing what is just and true.
We know that God’s law of order is always at work.
We now see with the eyes of Divine understanding.
We go about our day with clarity of mind and with peace in our souls as understanding guides us and assures us that all is well.
We grow in understanding of God’s plan for us when we listen to that still small voice within.
I GRATEFULLY USE THE POWER OF UNDERSTANDING, AS I RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH OF GOD’S PLAN IN EVERY SITUATION
I AM UNDERSTANDING!
I Light the Candle of
Will
For it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Philippians 2: 13
Disciple: Matthew
Month: August
Color: Silver
Location: Center of the brain
Will is the executive mind power that directs and makes choices that determine character.
Will says, “I will” do something or “I will not” do something.
It is the “chooser,” the decision maker.
Will is the ability to listen to God’s will and then direct our powers to manifest that good.
God’s will for us is always good.
We set our intention to do the will of God.
In this moment, we look forward to each new day with the knowledge that God’s will for us is unlimited good as we reach for our dreams and goals.
We place all our concerns and dreams in God’s loving care.
We release any thought of lack or limitation, knowing that God’s will for us is to achieve the deepest desires of our hearts.
We are willing to do what Spirit’s will directs us to do.
WITH GRATITUDE, I CONSECRATE AND DEDICATE MYSELF TO THE WILL OF GOD.
I AM WILLING!
I Light the Candle of
Order
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Disciple: James, Son of Alphaeus
Month: September
Color: Green
Location: Navel
Divine order is the first law of the universe.
It says, “First things first,” and is the attracting power that supplies our every need in perfect timing.
Divine order exists at all times in our lives and in the world.
It is our ability to act from a centered place.
We take time to contemplate this unfailing law of God and to keep it uppermost in mind as we put our lives in perspective.
We trust in divine order, knowing that everything taking place now is in the right way at the right time.
We exercise patience as we anticipate the blessing that is coming to us now as we wait in God’s time.
We begin this New Year, confident that God is in charge and all is well.
We center ourselves in the presence of God, knowing that we can meet each day with peace of mind, strength of spirit, and faith of heart.
We know that divine order and harmony is operating in our lives and in the world now.
WITH GRATITUDE, I AM ONE WITH DIVINE ORDER, AND I RECOGNIZE ORDER IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE.

Zeal is the power needed to stay interested, enthusiastic and focused.
It is a Divine energy, radiating through us that helps us to accomplish all things.
We are full of joy and enthusiasm as our power of Zeal is activated.
We express zeal and enthusiasm as we greet our neighbors, as we take on new tasks, and as we pray.
With an energized spirit, we are positive and cheerful.
The most mundane chore becomes an activity of practicing the presence of God.
Our tasks are done easily and quickly.
The power of zeal opens the way to wondrous blessings, for it is the pure activity of Spirit at work.
WITH GRATITUDE, I APPROACH EACH DAY WITH ZEAL AND ENTHUSIASM, AND MY LIFE IS FILLED WITH BLESSINGS.
I AM ZEAL!
I Light the Candle of
Elimination
You will know the truth and the truth will make you free. John 8:32
Disciple: Thaddeus
Month: November
Color: Russet
Location: Abdominal region
Elimination is the power to say “no” to error thoughts, feelings or situations and have them removed or cancelled.
Elimination lets go of unneeded elements that no longer serve us.
It is the releaser, as it cleanses, denies and forgives.
Letting go eliminates anything we no longer need.
We gladly release the false, the selfish, and the negative because negative thoughts, words, and feelings keep us from expressing the Christ spirit within.
With love, we forgive apparent wrongs.
Our power of elimination lets go of all negativity in our lives.
We now release anything that keeps us from expressing our true spiritual nature and we keep our thoughts positive and constructive.
WITH GRATITUDE, I RELEASE OLD HABITS AND WAYS OF THINKING AND JOYOUSLY ACCEPT MY GOOD.
I AM ELIMINATION!
I Light the Candle of
Life
The Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:6
Disciple: Judas
Month: December
Color: Red
Location: Reproductive organs
Life is the energy that propels all living forms into action.
Life is the animation that adds movement and activity to our ideas.
It is a creative force, the activity and expression of God.
God is the source of life, and this life renews me cell by cell.
Life is given to us to manifest the truth and beauty of God’s wonderful world.
It is what gives us purpose and meaning and we are aware of the power of life within us.
As this old year ends, we think about the true source of the life force that flows through us and leads us to freedom and happiness, knowledge and growth.
God is our source and God is good
Our lives are a wonderful gift from God.
I GIVE THANKS FOR LIFE—GOOD, FREE, JOYOUS, GROWNING AND ETERNAL.
I AM LIFE!
