The soup cookbook, formatted and compiled by Bobbi & Chip Harris and Rita Ramsay from the recipes you submitted will be available in the fall. Please email Rita at ritamina@aol.com to put in your intention to purchase one or more cookbooks. Rita needs an approximate count of how many cookbooks to have printed. It contains 124 recipes and lots of helpful information. The book is put together beautifully! The price will be $12 each but if you buy 5 or more you will get the special price of $10 each. Thanks in advance for supporting the church in this fundraiser.

PHOTO ALBUM

Our historic picture albums are stacking up. We have the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's done but not closed up so we can add important things as they come in.

Now we are ready to attack a big storage chest full of unmarked, undated pictures from the 2000's. Our Unity has a wonderful past and I'm dreaming about the wonderful future we can expect. As always, if anyone wants to help — EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

A Course In Miracles

The Tuesday night ACIM group will retire to the beach for the summer. Starting June 3rd, we will convene at Nokomis Beach at 7:00 pm. Studying the Course in that beautiful setting is most inspiring and relaxing. If you want to carpool, meet at the parking lot nearest the gazebo in downtown Venice. Call Donna at 493-2287 if you have questions.

We will resume our meetings at Unity Church September 2nd unless we are “beached out” before then.

From Mr. Paul A. White - Choir and Other Musical News

During August, Paul will rehearse with each section of the choir for the dedication of the new church building. The final 2 rehearsals will be everyone together. Since all the regular choir members will not be back until October, we will be short alto and tenor singers. Therefore, anyone experienced in singing these parts is encouraged to let Paul know and join us in the August sectional rehearsals and full choir rehearsals in September. Paul would supply music now to these additional substitute folks and also supply tapes of their parts. Paul’s phone is 941-351-6431. He also is in the planning stages of an elaborate Christmas program featuring music, dance and staging of the holiday around the world for our first Christmas in our new sanctuary.
