World Day of Prayer

We will have a sacred “kick off” for World Day of Prayer during Spirit Soaring on Wednesday, September 8th at 7:00 pm and complete our 24 hours of prayer at Manasota Beach with a potluck beach picnic and water blessing Thursday, September 9, 2010.

With this year’s theme “We are living expressions of Divine Light flowing forth into the world,” it seems appropriate to be on our beautiful gulf shore.

We will close our 100 days of prayer for the Gulf with music, prayer, food and a joyous fellowship. Join Rev. Patricia and Rev. Lori, the Chaplains and our music team at 5:00 pm on Thursday, September 9th, at Manasota Beach.

Wednesday September 8th, 7:00 pm - World Day of Prayer Kick-off Spirit Soaring Service

Thursday September 9th, 5:00 pm - Manasota Beach potluck picnic and water blessing.

NORTH POLE EXPRESS!
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 18TH (Reservation deadline is SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th.  Tickets go on sale the next day, Monday, September 6th and will sell out fast! 

HOW FUN IS THIS? Unity Church of Venice is going on the North Pole Express. All aboard for an express trip to visit Santa Claus at the North Pole!  Christmas Carolers will be entertaining the passengers with festive songs throughout the journey. Santa will be available to greet every child upon arrival at the North Pole and present each one with a special gift. The round-trip ride will last approximately 3 to 3-1/2 hours. Our trip takes place on Saturday, December 18th.  The train departs the station in Parrish at 6:00 PM and returns at approximately 9:30 PM. We do not have an exact ticket price at this time, but we are told it will be around $15 - $20 per ticket. The kid's tickets are a little less than the adult tickets. Please sign up in the hallway with a deposit of $10. per ticket to reserve your spot.
