Chaplain’s Corner
Dear Spiritual Family,
I heard positive feedback from the last newsletter
regarding the inclusion of other chaplain’s input in the Chaplain's
Corner so I thought I would continue. At our last chaplain
meeting we discussed sharing with all of you a "pearl of wisdom" that we use in, and have learned from our lives. We send our
pearls to you with love....
I was struck with a "remembering" while walking in a wooded
area in Pennsylvania last month. It was clear to me, if only for a
little while, that I was a connection between God and all things
around me. Through me at that moment, God was smelling the
sweet fragrance of a blooming tree, hearing the song of a
mockingbird, seeing the many shades of green in the woods and
the blue of sky, feeling the warm caress of a gentle breeze. Be
still and KNOW that I am God. -Tim
That which comes from the heart goes to the heart; it's the real
place from which to connect. -Ali
"To err is human; to forgive divine." -Alexander Pope. Forgiving others is often easier than forgiving yourself.
Forgiving both yourself and others is the cornerstone for healing
your spirit, mind and body. -Kathy
Be at peace with yourself. If you are not at peace with yourself
you are at peace with nothing. This is the peace that brings you
closer to God. -Bonnie
This is a wonderful statement from my father...Nothing in the
world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing
is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will
not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not;
the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and
determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has
solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. -Neal
Jump into the fire of your fears and watch your life ignite. -Jewell
When you can't change a situation you need to change your
attitude. -Eileen
God never gives us a challenge to face, without the ability to
handle the challenge. Sometimes you see this quote with an
additional line: I just wish sometimes he did not have such
confidence in me. There are challenges, road bumps, roller
coaster hills in our lives, but we have the ability to handle them
easily with God's gifts given to us over a lifetime. We need only
have the confidence in our abilities that Spirit knows are there all
the time. Breathe, relax, let go, smile and enjoy. -Chris
May the Light that is your true nature surround you and
guide you on this magnificent journey - wherever it may take
you.
-Namaste, Bonnie Lantz
