Gentlemen,

This is an invitation for MEN ONLY to embrace what it’s like to be a male in the challenging environment in which we live.

We will join together the last Monday of each month at 7 pm, in the Sanctuary. We explore a wide range of topics: work, money, intimacy, women, anger, fear, prayer, meditation and the spiritual principles that guide us through our journey.

Let us build a safe, confidential atmosphere in which we ignite our masculine energy to create and express who we are as God’s magnificent creations.

TUESDAYS:

10 AM: LOVING WHAT IS - Returns mid-October in the Miracle House

The “Loving What Is” class continues to meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am until 12:00 noon in the Miracle house (portable classroom out back). We are enjoying the Tao Te Ching and the comments on it made by Byron Katie and Wayne Dyer in their two recent books. We also are enlightened and entertained by The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff.

This is an open, friendly group, which welcomes newcomers with open arms. Anyone who enjoys sharing ideas and experiences and ruminating on new thoughts will fit right into this class presented by Judy Walthall, Licensed Unity Teacher.

6:30PM: Meditation before ACIM

7:00PM - A Course in Miracles - Returns September 7th in Fellowship Hall

Added to this evening's classes is an optional meditation at the beginning of our meeting starting Tuesday, October 6th. Anyone wishing to join the meditation is welcome to arrive anytime between 6:30-6:55 p.m.  We ask that you enter quietly and join the meditation circle.

Our usual Course in Miracles class will start at 7 p.m.  After this first trial, our group will decide if, when, and how to continue with the extended meditation.  New members are always welcome on our Tuesday nights.  We are a happy, loving group that will welcome you warmly.

WEDNESDAYS:

9 - 10AM: Tai Chi Chih Class

Take time for yourself and gain balance, peace, and align body, mind, and Spirit in Tai Chi Chih Classes, with Don Youso, on Wednesdays, at 9 a.m.  Classes will be presented on a love offering basis to benefit the Building Fund.  Beginners and experienced are welcome to attend.Learn how to de-stress and energize your life and create the kind of balance you want with T'ai Chi Chih. T'ai Chi Chih is a new form of T'ai Chi created in 1974 by Justin Stone for the sole purpose of allowing people to balance and circulate the Life Force the ancient Chinese call “Chi”. T'ai Chi Chih is not a martial art; it is a moving meditation that balances and circulates the Chi, the intrinsic energy inherent in all life. T'ai Chi Chih consists of 19 powerful movements and one pose that are easily learned by anyone, regardless of age or physical condition.

The silent style Prayer Service is open to everyone. Experience the peace of a mid-week connection to your inner source through prayer and meditation.

5:45 PM —Music Team Rehearsal - "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord of all the earth..." When we join our hearts together in singing and playing, we create a joyous and sacred field. We amplify our energy and we make Spirit feel welcome in the room and it radiates out from there and into the world. Join us and be a part of this radiating energy

THURSDAYS:

Chaplains' Prayer, Healing and Meditation Service
First Thursday of every month

Entering the Sanctuary of the church, you will see a small circle of chairs beckoning you to rest. Candles are lit - music plays softly - and you will sit in meditation. Nothing is asked of you but to enter the meditative space and begin to soothe your being. There is a welcome, a prayer, a reading, and then a beautiful guided meditation - you will feel yourself enter a world of indescribable peace. If you desire, you may speak aloud the names of friends and family members you wish to hold in healing prayer.

Following, your choice will find you either remaining in the circle in silence or receiving silent prayer and healing touch by one of the chaplains. This space is separate from the circle and equally warm and inviting. If you choose to leave the circle, you will be greeted by a chaplain - invited to sit down and asked how you may be supported? Prayer is spoken in silence as you are immersed in God's presence.

This is a beautiful way to spend a Thursday evening, so do come out to Venice Unity and go within.

FRIDAYS:

Gather in Fellowship Hall for dessert and to talk about the rich, spiritual aspects of life.  This is a fun way to uncover diverse and interesting answers to spiritually-charged questions of the evening.  Each table will present their take to the question presented and you will leave for home with new thoughts to ponder on your spiritual journey.  

Please note this cancellation - Friday - August 20th - 7:00 pm - Coffee, Conversations & Connections has been cancelled, and will return on Friday, September 17th.

SOUL CINEMA (Movie Night) 7 PM

Second Friday of every month, come and enjoy a movie, discussion and refreshments for Only $5 bucks. Wonderful opportunity for spiritual connection and church camaraderie.
