| Starting July 21st at 5:30 pm there will be a pre-Spirit Soaring gathering "POT LUCK DINNER" and will continue on the third Wednesday of each month. Bring a dish to share and enjoy some fellowship before attending the uplifting Spirit Soaring service. | |
What is Unity?
Unity is a positive, practical (rather than doctrine), progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the power of prayer. We honor the universal truths in all religions and respect each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path.

We want every person who enters our doors to know they are loved beyond measure, accepted just as they are, and are worthy of living a life of peace, joy, health, and prosperity. Everyone is welcomed and honored at Unity Church of Venice. As Jesus taught, we are here to love and serve God and each other as we learn to love ourselves. 2010 World Day of Prayer List: In the foyer at Unity Church of Venice you will find a Prayer List form for you to fill in the names of family, loved ones, friends, neighbors, anyone you wish to be prayed for on September 9th. The names will be sent to Unity Village and each name will be blessed during a 24-hour prayer vigil in the Silent Unity Chapel on Unity's World Day of Prayer, September 9th.
World Day of Prayer "Kick-Off" - Wednesday, September 8th - 7:00 PM - Spirit Soaring Service. We will have a sacred "kick-off" for World Day of Prayer during the Spirit Soaring service. Join Rev. Patricia, Rev. Lori and the chaplains for this special service.
Unity's World Day of Prayer - Unity Church of Venice Prayer Vigil - Thursday, September 9th - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. We will be holding a chaplains prayer vigil at the church from10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Please join our prayer chaplains for this sacred event.
100 Days of Prayer closing ceremony & a blessing and healing of the Gulf of Mexico - Thursday, September 9th - 5:00 PM. We will close our 100 Days of Prayer on Unity's World Day of Prayer, Thursday, September 9th with music, prayer, food and joyous fellowship. Join Rev. Patricia, Rev. Lori, the chaplains and our music team at 5:00 PM at Manasota Beach for our closing ceremony and a blessing and healing prayer for the Gulf of Mexico. There will be a church potluck picnic starting at 5:00 PM. Bring a dish to share. Church will provide plates, cups, and plasticware. After the potluck we will gather on the beach for the 100 Days of Prayer closing ceremony and a blessing and healing of the Gulf.
