What is Unity?
Unity is a positive, practical (rather than doctrine), progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the power of prayer. We honor the universal truths in all religions and respect each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path.
Unity Includes Everyone!
We want every person who enters our doors to know they are loved beyond measure, accepted just as they are, and are worthy of living a life of peace, joy, health, and prosperity. Everyone is welcomed and honored at Unity Church of Venice. As Jesus taught, we are here to love and serve God and each other as we learn to love ourselves. We would be honored to serve you and support your spiritual needs. Come join us (in our new sanctuary) as we grow, learn, laugh and love together.
The Prayer of Protection
The Light of God SURROUNDS me
The Love of God ENFOLDS me
The Power of God PROTECTS me
The Presence of God WATCHES OVER me
Wherever I am, GOD IS!

CANS FOR CATS
St. Francis Animal Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter, 1925 S. Tamiami Trail,
Venice (941-492-6200) collects aluminum cans to help defer costs and benefit
over 200 cats that live in the shelter. Cats come to the shelter from many
sources: owner give-ups, feral cats that can't take care of themselves and strays.
The idea of collecting aluminum cans requires no additional effort or cost on
your part. They are being separated and bagged for weekly garbage pickup
anyway. When attending church on Sunday, just drop off your bags of cans in
the foyer of the Fellowship Hall. Anyone who is owned by fur-children knows
how they speak to your heart and feed your soul.
Let’s return that love by providing the opportunity to turn your aluminum cans
into food and care for over 200 cats while they wait for loving homes. For the
months of June and July, please bring your cans to Fellowship Hall.
